Knock-down Stool by Mike Lyon

Check out this knock-down stool, designed and built by Mike Lyon. This is a beautiful piece of design and workmanship. Since I'm planning to build knock-down furniture for camping (beds, tables, and chests) the method of assembly is especially interesting.

My other major inspiration for knock-down furniture is Viking Bed Design.

Very cool site Robert -- both of them. Not sure how I ran into your site but it was after checking out a couple woodworking sites. Your pennsic pics threw me for a bit til I figured out what it was. Are you located in Pennsylvania? I'm an enthusiastic woodworker and fan of Krenov. We're located down in Germantown, MD.

regards,
Dave

I am not in PA. I'm up in MA. Thanks for the positive commentary: the site is a work in progress.

great links, love the stool... likely to have influenced the ones I'll be making (eventually).

Wherabouts In MA? (If you don't mind me asking) - I'm in NH now, but a transplant from the Worcester area.

Hey Scott. I know what you mean about "eventually." Isn't that when most projects get done?

I'm in MetroWest now, but I grew up Southwest of Worcester, in Oxford, MA.
