Wooden Blocks
I wish woodworking was as easy as playing with blocks. My children spend hours building with these, and I love seeing what they come up with. Below are pictures of one that spent several days in our living room during September.
The columns on top of the structure were exercises during a wood turning class. If I ever have a lathe in the shop, I plan to make some proper Greek and Roman columns for the block set.

Great block pictures! Building blocks are great tools for kids to exercise their creative abilities and sometimes adults can have fun playing along.
Thanks for the comment. I'm often amazed by the complex buildings that the children construct with these. These have been one of the best toy investments we have.
Very nice blocks. I think building blocks are great fun for everyone. My daughter was born as a 27 week old preemie and we used the building blocks in her fine motor therapy sessions. She's 9 years old now and still enjoys playing with them.
